On Yao Xie's Ci lyric in Paintings

姚燮作为道咸时期的文艺巨擘,其题画词在道咸词坛上颇具典型意义。姚氏题画词以抒情为主,涵纳了人生失意、爱情追思、山水情怀、文艺创作等深刻丰富的思想意蕴,在艺术上亦臻于清空醇雅、微婉含蓄、词画通融的骚雅微婉之境。姚氏的题画词创作,对晚清东南及京师词坛的题画词创作产生了一定的影响。

Yao Xie was a literary giant duringthe reign of Daoguang and Xianfeng emperors in QingDynasty, and his lyric Ci in Paintings was of typical significance at that time.Theywere dominated with emotion expressions, embracing disappointments, love mourning, feelings of landscape and literary creations etc. His Ci-poems in paintings have reached the highest realm of strength and grace. So his CI-lyric creations had a certain impact on the Ci -poem writing of capital and Southeast areas on the late Qing Dynasty.
