中药说明书药名、功效语及结构词英译研究

A Study on Names, Indications and Sub-headings of Traditional Chinese Medicine Insert

随着中医药国际交流合作的不断深化,越来越多的中药走向国际市场。作为介绍中药的重要指南,中药说明书的翻译质量在中药国际化进程中发挥着至关重要的作用。目前中药说明书的英译还存在很多问题,如:翻译标准不统一,可读性差等。本文以262份有英译版本的中药说明书为研究对象,以"文本类型论"、"目的论"和"顺应论"为指导理论,分别对中药名、功效语和结构词三个方面进行研究,得出以下结论:中药名的翻译应突出其信息功能;功效语的翻译应灵活使用增译和减译等翻译技巧;结构词的翻译应使用统一规范的译文,并补充、完善结构词栏目。

With the continuous deepening of the International communication and cooperation of Traditional Chinese Medicine（TCM）, an increasing number of TCM products are exported to the international market. As a vital guide of TCM, the translation quality of Traditional Chinese Medicine Inserts（TCMI） is crucial to the internationalization of TCM. There are many existed problems in the English translation of TCMI currently, such as no uniformed translation standards, poor readability, etc. By introducing Text Typology, Skopos Theory and Adaptation Theory as theoretical guidance, a study was conducted on names, indications and sub-headings of 262 inserts with English translation. The following conclusions are drawn： the translation of names should emphasize its informative function, the translation of indications should use translation techniques such as addition and omission, the translation of sub-headings should use the standardized term, and supplement missing subheadings.
