“外贸英语”课程教学改革与研究——以湖北理工学院为例

On Teaching Reform of the Course "English for International Trade"——A Case Study of Hubei Polytechnic University

随着我国对外贸易的不断发展,迫切需要那些既通晓国际贸易实务又精通英语知识的人才。通过对湖北理工学院国际经济与贸易专业学生的问卷调查发现,该校"外贸英语"课程教学的确存在一些不足。为了适应社会经济发展形势,笔者认为,必须改革"外贸英语"课程教学理念和教学方法,注重交互式语言教学方法的应用,注重实践教学环节,注重"外贸英语"课程中的文化教学,注重"双师型"教师队伍培养。

The development of international trade in China demands many talents who not only have hands-on skills in international trade practice but also are proficient in English. Through the questionnaire survey among students of the bachelor program of international economy and trade in Hubei Polytechnic University,the author of this paper finds some problems in the instruction of the course ＂ English for International Trade＂. To adapt to the socio-economic development of China,efforts must be made in the instruction of the course ＂ English for International Trade＂ from the following aspects： to reform the teaching ideas and methods; to apply interactive language teaching methods; to attach more importance to practice training; to enhance culture input; and to cultivate teachers with both teaching qualifications and expertise in the profession.
