普通高校开设大数据专业的可行性分析

Pondering over Establishing the Specialty of Big Data in Regular Institutions of Higher Learning

随着网络和计算机信息技术的飞速发展,大数据在各行各业的广泛应用,已成为发展新热点。国内多所高校都开设"数据科学与大数据技术专业",而更多的高校则增设与"大数据"相关的课程。普通高校开设大数据专业,应根据社会需求,在学科或专业定位、教学内容选择、办学的方式方法等方面统筹设计普通高校大数据专业及课程的有效途径。

With the rapid development of network and computer information technology, big data gets widely applied in all walks of life, which has become a new hot spot in the society. There are many colleges and universities in China which offer ＂the specialty of data science and big data technology＂, and there are more institutions of higher learning which add the courses related to ＂big data＂. When regular institutions of higher learning establish the specialty of big data, they should adopt the effective way to make an overall design about the specialty and the course; meanwhile, the consideration need to be taken based on the needs of society and in terms of discipline or professional orientation, choice of teaching content, school-running ways and so on.
