This paper analyzes students' learning results in physics by virtue of SOLO classification theory, and points out that there is corresponding relation between the theory and teaching objectives. In that sense, the teaching design is carried out with composition of forces as the teaching case and by virtue of the SOLO method to explore the learning needs, to set up effective teaching tasks and objectives, and to finally weigh a reasonable method for grasping difficult and key point in learning. The actual result shows that the SOLO analysis can provide a reference frame for studying the teaching design in physics from the height of methodology, which has the reference value for the teaching design in high school physics.
