党的十八大以来,习近平围绕理想信念尤其是领导干部坚定理想信念问题作出了一系列论述,构成了习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的重要内容。习近平关于领导干部坚定理想信念的论述,既是坚持思想建党原则对新时代领导干部的本质要求,也是党领导人民实现新时代伟大梦想的精神源泉,还是党领导新时代伟业实现长期执政的前提基础。衡量新时代领导干部理想信念的标准在于要把握坚定不移政治定力的基本尺度、为民服务宗旨意识的核心尺度和勤政廉洁形象作风的外延尺度。领导干部坚定理想信念的逻辑起点在于用习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想武装头脑,根本路径是通过严肃而富有生机的党内政治生活来锤炼提升,推进落地有赖严格的党内监督和广泛的外部监督来实现。

Xi Jinping has made a series of discussions around the ideals and convictions especially the ideals and convictions of leading cadres since the 18th National Congress of the C.P.C, which is the main content of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It is not only the essential re- quirement of Marxist political parties for leading cadres, but also the impetus of the leading cadres leading peo- ple to pursue Chinese Dream and the premise of the Party to maintain long-term unity and governance. The measurement of leading cadres＇ ideals and convictions is to make the basic scale of firm political strength, the core scale of consciousness of serving the people and the extension scale of honest and diligent work style. The starting point of logic is to arm our minds through scientific theories. The fundamental approach is to improve through serious inner-party political life. The main strategy is to push forward by strict inner-party supervision and extensive external supervision.
