小柴胡汤善理肝胃,平肝胆郁火,通利三焦,郁火平则热平。上焦得通,津液得下,热不上冲,津液不升,头部汗出即解;胃津足则胃气和,则呕逆,心下满,大便坚可随之而解;食欲因胃肠功能恢复而正常;胃肠水分不缺,吸收作用正常,血中水分充足,血液循环状况恢复正常,则四肢血液顺畅,手足冷及脉沉细或微弱的症状解除。阳微结证在一般情况下是小柴胡汤证,对于这个特殊复杂的证候群,在治疗原则上,应该完全遵守柴胡证的禁治法,汗法、吐法、下法均非其法,此证更非三阴证,温之亦不可,只有柴胡类方和之,方为正治。

Minor Bupleurum Decoction is good at regulating the liver and stomach,removing stagnated fire in the liver and gallbladder,dredging sanjiao,because disappearance of stagnated fire means removing stagnated heat.If upper jiao is unblocking,body fluid can move downward,heat doesn＇t rush upward,body fluid doesn＇t rise,sweating appears in the head,then the syndrome will be released.Sufficient stomach fluid leads to harmonious stomach qi,and vomiting,epigastric fullness,constipation will be removed; Appetite will be normal due to recovery of stomach and intestine function.The gastrointestinal fluid is not deficient,the absorption function is normal,the blood is sufficient,the blood circulation condition returns to normal,then the extremities blood is smooth,the hands and feet cold and the sinking fine pulse or weak symptom is relieved.Generally speaking,for mild yang stagnation syndrome,Minor Bupleurum Decoction is often used.For this particular complex syndrome,treatment principle should completely obey Bupleurum syndrome＇ s contraindication method,but all diaphoretic therapy,vomiting therapy,and purging therapy don＇t belong to this.It is even more than three yin syndrome,warming therapy can not be used either,only prescriptions of Bupleurum types can be used to harmonize the related symptoms.
