A Study of the Psychological Relation Between Theory of Evolution and Generative Linguistics

本文从后现代思潮视角下通过分析达尔文进化论的哲学内涵,并联系生成语言学的哲学基础、思想根源进行剖析,深入厘清二者之联系。旨在论证,从生物禀赋的角度生成语言学继承了一些进化的思想,但其哲学基础却是传统哲学观的回归,它立足于对语言本质和语言深层结构的挖掘,强调语言的先验性,力求实现语言研究的理性回归,与认知语言学之间的矛盾实质仍是传统唯理论与经验论抗争之延续。

This paper is to analyze the philosophical basis of the theory of evolution from the Postmodernism perspective and discuss the relationship between the two theories. Although having inherited some ideas from the theory of evolution, the main theoretical argument of Generative linguistics is a return to the traditional philosophy. Deeply rethinking, the clash between Generative linguistics and Cognitive linguistics is actually the continuance of the fghting between the traditional rationalism and empiricism.
