Experimental study and verification of absolute coefficient of restitution

关于相互碰撞时物体恢复系数的相关理论存在不同的看法,而且缺少实验的验证。利用PASCO系统中视频分析功能,实时测量一维碰撞时两钢球的位置变化情况,计算出钢球碰撞前后瞬间的速度。以此为基础,计算不同材质小球的绝对恢复系数和共同恢复系数,并分析两种系数之间的关系。通过实验验证了物体恢复系数的相关理论。

There are some controversies about the theory of recovery coefficient between the colliding objects,which haven’t be proved by experimental verification. 1 n this paper,video analyzing function of PASCO system was used to tracking position change of colliding balls,and obtain them speeds re-spectively in one dimensional. The absolute coefficient of restitution and common coefficient of restitu-tion of balls made of different materials were calculated and analyzed. The theory of recovery coefficient was proved by experiment in this paper.
