A Study on the Educator of Guizhou Mo Yuchou

晚清贵州独山籍著名教育家、学者莫与俦,20岁—59岁曾在独山及周边长期从事教育教学活动,59岁后改任遵义府学教授,此后一直在遵义任教长达19年,直至79岁终老任上。莫与俦一生从事教育培育人才近达五十年,在教育教学实践中逐渐形成了自己的教育思想,所著《示诸生教》四篇是其教育思想的系统总结,是贵州第一个在教育中倡导汉学(朴学)的教育家,培养了包括莫友芝、郑珍在内的一大批杰出人才。为贵州文化教育事业作出了杰出贡献。

Mo Yuchou,a well-known Guizhou educator and scholar in late Qing Dynasty,contributed himself to the education career nearly fifty years in Dushan and Zunyi. In his education career,he developed into his own thoughts on education,which are systematically included in his books To the Educated Person with four volumes. He was the first people to advocate Sinology education in Guizhou province and cultivated a large number of outstanding students including Mo Youzhi,Zheng Zhen,who made a great contribution to the development of the culture and education of Guizhou.
