基于中美两国比较视角的公共图书馆电子书服务研究

Research on Public Library Service Based on the Comparison of China and the United States

文章从版权豁免、业务模式、平台建设、隐私保护等方面比较中美两国公共图书馆开展电子书服务的具体情况。提出我国图书馆电子书服务的发展方向:一是参与规则创建,拓展服务空间;二是与商业模式对接,形成有效的服务能力;三是做好资源整合与发现,凸显平台的服务优势;四是注重信息安全,实践价值理念。

The article compares the situation of library E-book service development of China and the United States from the aspects of copyright exemption, business model, technical platform and privacy policies. It puts forward 4 suggestions on the development of library E-book service in China： participating in the creation of rules and expanding the service space; integrating with business model and forming effective service ability; creating resource integration and discovery platform; paying attention to patron privacy issues in E-book usage.
