从婚姻匹配看户口的价值——来自CFPS的证据

The Value of Hukou in the View of Marriage Matching:Evidence from CFPS

本文利用中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)2012年的调查数据,利用并扩展Chiappori、Oreffice和Quintana-Domeque提出的计量方法,从婚姻匹配的角度对"城镇户口"附带的经济价值进行了研究。研究结果表明:在婚姻匹配中,女性"城镇户口"与其受教育年限之间存在替代关系,女性"城镇户口"(相对于"农村户口")可由4~5年受教育年限来替代;男性"城镇户口"与其可支配年收入之间存在替代关系,男性"城镇户口"可由其可支配年收入24~27万来替代。女性城镇户口的价值随时间有减弱的趋势,男性城镇户口的价值随时间有增加的趋势。经济欠发达地区对"城镇户口"价值的评价略高于经济发达地区。本文为研究城乡差别和户籍制度的影响提供了新的视角和证据。

The economic value of hukou is a key variable for researches. This paper studies the economic value of urban hukou （vs. rural hukou） identity in China. We find there is substitution between urban hukou identity and other valuable characteristics of the spouse. In men＇s preference, women＇s urban hukou can substitute for her 4 - 5 years of schooling; in women＇s preference, men＇s urban hukou can substitute for 240000-270000 yuan of his disposable annual income. We measure the economic value of hukou for the first time, and provide new perspective and evidence on the influence of hukou system on urban-rural disparity in China.
