This essay studies translations of and introductions to the early 19^th century British Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley in College Periodicals from 1920s to 1930s in China to reveal the poet's transmission and reception during this time. The young translators such as Chen Quan, Jiang Shuge, Rao Yuwei, Feng Enrong paid attention to the poet's psychology and philosophy of love and life. Comparing with the translations and introduc- tions in the former period, the young translators got rid of the revolutionary discourses and became more professional in the Shelley research, and, at the same time, in their hands the poet was shaped into a sophisticated, sentimental and melancholy romantic idol.
