Data Visualization Promotes Scientization of Educational Decision-Making:Connotations, Strategies and Challenges

摘要 现代教育决策越来越依赖信息技术的支持,尤其是基于数据的教育决策相关信息系统的支撑。在该领域中,现有研究大都集中于数据分析与挖掘技术在系统中的应用,鲜有研究聚焦于数据的可视化实现。作为数据模型与终端用户之间的通道,数据可视化应用通过将教育活动中积累的大量数据以适合的方式加以呈现,在促进决策者全面、正确、深入理解数据,科学制定教育决策等方面发挥了关键性作用。本研究梳理和归纳了面向教育决策的数据可视化特征,探讨了数据可视化的内涵,分析了数据可视化的核心模式和发展策略,并进一步揭示了数据可视化工作未来所面临的挑战。 modern educational decision making relies more and more on information technology support, especially on educational decision making related information systems based on data. In this field, most of the existing research focuses on the application of data analysis and mining technology in the system, and few studies focus on data visualization. As the channel between the data model and the end user, the application of data visualization is presented in a suitable way by using a large amount of data accumulated in educational activities. It plays a key role in promoting the decision-makers' comprehensive, correct and in-depth understanding of data and making scientific decision-making in education. This study summarizes the features of data visualization for educational decision making, discusses the connotation of data visualization, analyzes the core patterns and development strategies of data visualization, and further reveals the challenges facing the future of data visualization.
