国外高校校友捐赠文化的启示

Inspiration Drawn from the Analysis of Alumni Donation Culture in Foreign Universities

国外捐赠文化的形成有其深层次的宗教原因。在其历史发展进程中,这一文化又与教育形成了完美的结合。其中,校友捐赠文化已成为国外大学里最富有传统性与可持续性的宝贵财富,给学校办学带来可观的资助。为了继续使这一文化传统得以传承和延续,国外高校不仅以有效的制度设计作为保障,在其管理实践中,还利用各种有效措施积极培育学校在校生当中的捐赠文化,同时也利用各种有效途径努力加强与校友之间的联系,用共同的文化认同感不断夯实校园捐赠文化的根基。国内高校捐赠文化的培育需扎根于中华传统文化,并从中提取可用因素加以大力宣扬,同时在教育实践中需用通识教育及环境育人提高大学生的人文情怀。在此基础上,国内高校还要积极向国外大学比较成熟的校友捐赠运作模式及实践学习,投入更多的人力和物力资源,健全学校筹资部门及校友会组织架构,创新捐赠项目的精细化、针对性设计来吸引更多的校友资源。

Donation culture in foreign countries,which is deeply rooted in their religious worships,has long been one of the most influential contributing factors in the development of their education. As a historical and sustainable tradition,alumni donation culture has brought a large sum of funds to the higher educational institutions in those countries. The inheritance and promotion of this culture within consideration,those higher educational institutions,apart from making effective rules and regulations,take effective measures to foster donation culture among students before their graduation,while at the same time strengthening the relationship with their alumni through the sense of common cultural identity. Alumni donation culture in Chinese colleges and universities has to be based on the long traditional culture of China,and it should be enhanced with the boost of the humanistic spirit among college students through more emphasis on general education as well as environmental education. Furthermore,colleges and universities in China should learn from specific practices of their foreign counterparts in their organization of fundraising,and attract enough alumni resources with more detailed and well-targeted donation project designing.
