基于药性理论“补肾助阳”相关中药功效术语英译初探

A Preliminary Study on The English Translation of Action Terms Related to Bushen Zhuyang Based on The Property of Chinese Herbs

以"补肾助阳"中药功效术语为例,探索基于药性理论的中药功效术语个性化翻译。通过查阅词典、古代文献和相关教材,对"补肾助阳"相关功效术语的中文内涵进行挖掘,分析具有类似功效药物的药性特点。从国内外较为认可的英译标准、辞典辞书和中药学英文教材中遴选能够表达中药药性特点的英文翻译,以期在中英翻译转换中介入最具核心的药性特点,使之能够更加正确地指导临床用药。

Taking the term Bushen zhuyang as a target,the article explored the individualized English translation of the action terms based on the property of Chinese herbs. By searching the dictionaries,ancient documents and related textbooks,we excavated the Chinese connotation of the term Bushen zhuyang and analyzed the characteristics of the property of similar herbs in Chinese. Then,by referring to international recognized English translation standards,the dictionaries,and several English version of textbooks of Chinese materia medica,we selected the English translations which can convey the property of the herbs. We anticipate that the property of the herbs should be involved in the Chinese-English translation of the action terms in order to provide correct guidance for the clinical application.
