A liaison interpreter＇s multiple identity is characterized by flexibility and changes. The study of the roles of liaison interpreters from different perspectives demonstrates the identity more precisely. Reinterpretation of the roles of liaison interpreters also imposes influences on professional conduct and code of ethics of liaison interpreting,which plays a significant role in interpreting professionalization. This paper illustrates the different roles that a liaison interpreter usually plays in interpreting activities from the perspective of fusion of horizons in order to explore a certain,stable and specific role from the multiple roles and bring inspiration to interpreting professionalization.
