摘要
廖平是近世经学大师,其孔子改制之说间接地在晚清维新变法思潮中产生了重大社会影响。然而他将今文经学思想发展到极荒诞的地步:以孔子为素王,以六经为孔子因革改制之作,片面地以礼制区分经今古文学,以《王制》统六经,进而以六经统全球,最后由"天学"建构离奇虚幻的"皇帝之学"。他的荒诞是高度学术水平上探求真知而出现的谬误,故为近世今文经学的终结者。
Liao Ping is a master of classics in modern ages,whose Confucian reform played an constitutional reform and modernization in late Qing Dynasty. But he developed the classic thought extremely absurd : he madeConfucius as an emperor, six classics as Confucius restructuring works. What he did differentiatsocial regulations one-sidedly,put “King’s System” on top of the six classics,then made the sfinally constructed a fantastic illusion of “Emperor’s thought” produced by “imperial thought”. His absurdity is atruth at a high academic level. So he is the terminator of modern classics.
