"Body without Organ" ——Parametric Design and 3D Printing

摘要 参数化设计与3D打印结合,以"无器官身体"为主题的跨界设计。在参数化建模软件基础下,观察身体对应的日常行为以及通过事件所激发的身体和外界环境之间的互动联系,基于"身体的衍生"以及"身体的受持"两个维度针对身体功能及活动做出探讨。通过犀牛软件里的参数化插件-Grasshopper,通过算法方式挑战身体的传统定义,借助程序算法建立模型,分析数字环境之下身体探索的可能性,在此基础上设计相关作品,比如防毒面罩、头盔、脊柱护具、背包以及项链等。最后通过3D打印技术,运用SLA激光快速成型机、光敏树脂材料,将作品模型呈现。 The theme of "Body without Organ" as the crossover design combines with Parametric design and 3D printing. Onthe basis of parameterized modeling software, the daily behavior of the body and the interaction between the body and theexternal environment aroused by the event are observed and the functions and activities of the body are discussed in the twoaspects of "body derivation" and "body holding". Using the parameterized plug-in in the rhinoceros software, the traditionaldefinition of the body is challenged by the algorithm, the model is generated by the program algorithm, the possibility ofexploring the body in the digital environment is explored, and a series of works are designed. There are gas masks, helmets,armor, protectors for spine, knapsack, necklace and so on. Finally, through the 3D printing technology, using the SLA laserrapid prototyping machine and photosensitive resin material, the model of the work is presented.
