The Class Imagination and Discourse Reconstruction in the Post-Revolutionary Era

"阶级"是文化研究一个无法绕开的主题。阶级在文化研究中的复归以及对其理论谱系的考察,必然在相当程度上涉及文化理论内部意味深长的转向。随着中国社会阶层分化的日益严重,"底层"概念再度登陆21世纪中国文学和文化领域,并有效扮演了"阶级"概念的角色。而"铁西区"这个独特的历史空间与符号,则投射出了中国社会转型时期"阶级"分化所造成的阵痛、对都市的想象以及复杂维度。中产阶级的崛起在中国新的社会分层结构之中显得尤为瞩目,在"新意识形态"的笼罩下,中产阶级的话语空间迅速地扩张。文化研究解除了对阶级、底层概念的本质主义定义,它为我们认识阶级以及新社会分层结构的复杂维度打开了新的视域,从而也开放了更广阔的论述空间。

＂Class＂is an unavoidable topic of cultural studies. The restoration of class in cultural studies and the examination of its theoretical genealogy are bound to a considerable extent to the significant turn of cultural theory. With the increasingly serious social stratification in China,the＂bottom＂concept was re-launched into the Chinese literature and culture field in the 21 st Century and effectively played the role of＂class＂concept. The unique historical space and symbols of＂Tiexi Area＂project the throes of the＂class differentiation＂in the period of social transformation in China,the imagination of the city and the complex dimensions. The rise of the middle class is particularly striking in China’s new social stratification structure,and the discourse space of the middle class expands rapidly under the new ideology. Cultural Studies has released the essentialism definition of the Class and Bottom. It opens up new horizons for us to recognize the complex dimensions of class and new social stratification. It also opens wider space for discussion.
