Need,a concept of historical materialism,plays a key role in the process of the understanding the development of society with irreplaceable significance. Indicating the nature of human,need expresses and promotes the development of society in some degree as the root of cooperation and conflicts in society. On the way of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way,the full understanding of the real needs of people based on the dialectical analysis of complex and mixed interest relationship in society from the perspective of historical materialism is needed. With the analysis,socialism with Chinese characteristic for a new era must be implemented. Human demand dynamically develops and shows its transcendence and synchronism as the social development. In conclusion,a moderately prosperous society,as the perfect society people dreamed about,becomes their target to achieve.
