L'Impartial and Woman's Political Participation Movement in the Early Republic of China

20世纪以降,中国妇女解放运动迎来了新的发展高潮,在唐群英等女权活动家们的带领下各女子团体在民国初年开展了影响深远的女子参政权运动。而《大公报》作为全国,特别是北方重要报纸之一,对该运动一直保持高度的关注,进行了持续不断的报道与评论。《大公报》对女子参政权运动的报道与评论,不仅仅反映了《大公报》对民初女子参政的立场,其文本的背后亦体现出当时国人对女性不断觉醒的认识与态度。

In the twentieth century,the women＇s liberation movement of China reaches a new development climax. In the early years of the Republic of China,women＇s groups,led by women＇s rights activists such as TANG Qunying,have carried out a far-reaching movement for women＇s political participation,which has been widely concerned by the society. The L＇Impartial as one of the important newspapers,has maintained a high degree of attention to the movement,reporting on the motion constantly. The reports and comments,not only reflects the L＇Impartial of position to suffragette movement,but the back of the text illustrates the attitude and understanding of Chinese people to the constant awakening of women at that time.
