谷世喆教授认为麦粒肿多为痰热瘀结,上扰清窍,治疗原则当以清热化痰,软坚散结为主,并要求患者配合饮食清淡,尤其避免辛辣、饮酒、甜食等刺激性食物和慎用化妆品。自古以针药为一家,因此谷教授十分重视针药结合,再予辨证施治,整体调整。治疗中,谷教授多以临床辨证结合其对标本根结理论别具一格的观点及特定穴为治疗方案,并主张针刺手法轻浅以疏经通络,而治其标,自创"银翘消痤汤",以调理五藏六腑之气血阴阳,治其本。

In Professor GU Shizhe opinion, most of the hordeolum is due to the Tanre Yujie and Shangrao Qingqiao,therefore, the main therapeutic treatment shall clear the heat and dissolve phlegm, soften the firm and dissipate the mass. Besides, Professor mostly require the cooperation of patients by using those cosmetic product with caution, having light diet and avoid from any irritative food such as spice, alcohol or sweets. The combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine has been ages, hence, professor puts high premium on it, treatment based on syndrome differentiation and holistic regulation. Most of the time, Professor provides treatment by the integration of clinical syndrome differentiation,along with his distinct perception and specific acupoints. Professor also advocate on light acupuncture manipulation to suppress the symptom by dredging meridians, self-prescribe＂ Yinqiao Xiaocuo decoction＂ to harmonize Qi and blood, Yin and Yang in order to cure the underlying causes.
