Revelation and Demonstration of Mechanism behind Freightage Discount in Railway Transportation

介绍了当前铁路货物运价定价方法,阐述了铁路货物运费的计算流程和构成。结合运输成本的实际情况,揭示了铁路货物运费优惠机理,并以整车钢材为例,采用数学方法进行验证。结果表明实施货物运费优惠举措,不仅为用户降低了物流成本,而且为铁路公司稳定既有货源、抢夺流失货源、开发新增货源做出了贡献,开拓了互利互惠的双赢局面。

In this paper, we introduced the current pricing method for railway transportation and elaborated on the calculation process and composition of the freightage of railway transportation. Then in combination with the actual cost of railway transportation, we uncovered the mechanism behind the discounting of the railway freightage and in the case of carload steel transportation, validated it mathematically.The result showed that the discounting of the railway freightage could not only reduce the logistics cost for the users, but also help the railway companies stabilize their existing cargo sources, regain lost sources, and develop new sources, contributing to the forming of a mutually beneficial situation.
