With the theory of defamiliarization of the Russian Formalism,this thesis will attempt to elaborate how the theory is applied in Lolitathrough the analysis of such three aspects as parody,shift of perspective of narrative and poetic language and the effects it has achieved.It could prolong the time of the process of readers＇ appreciation to make the readers have a more profound understanding of the novel.
