摘要
常州是全国留青竹刻中心,近代以来名家辈出。论常州留青竹刻风格,可分徐、白二派,分别以徐素白和白士风先生为代表。徐派偏于写意,追求神韵飞扬;白派重于写实,刻画细致入微。两派在开拓留青竹刻题材、创新作品样式、拓展竹刻技艺及培养后继人才等方面皆成就斐然,从而为留青竹刻的发展作出了重要贡献。
Changzhou is the national center of Liuqing Bamboo Carving which has bred a large number of famous artists since modem times. In terms of the style of Changzhou Liuqing Bamboo Carving, it can be divided into two sects of Xu and Bai which are respectively represented by Mr. Xu Subai and Mr. Bai Shifeng. The Xu sect pays more attention to abstraction and pursues the romantic charm' s flying upward while the Bai sect lays emphasis on realism and always depicts things in details. Both sects have made great achievements in expanding the subject matters of Liuqing Bamboo Carving, innovating the types of the works, developing the technology of bamboo carving and cultivating successors. They have made great contributions to the development of Liuqing Bamboo Carving.
