肾病综合征患儿发育迟缓一例

Growth retardation in a child with nephrotic syndrome:a case report

长期应用糖皮质激素对肾病综合征(NS)患儿的影响仍未清楚。该文报道一例长期服用糖皮质激素的NS患儿,初发病时表现为NS,有长期口服糖皮质激素治疗史,后有慢性肾功能不全,近4年出现身高低于正常同年龄同性别儿童平均身高的2倍标准差。该例提示,对于需要长期使用糖皮质激素治疗的NS患儿,尚需要探讨是否有改良方案或者替代治疗方案。

The effect of long-term administration of glucocorticoids on pediatric nephrotic syndrome（ NS） remains elusive. In this article,we reported a girl aged 15 years who was diagnosed with NS and was recommended for long-term use of glucocorticoids. She presented with NS manifestations during the initial onset of NS and gradually renal insufficiency. She reported a medical history of long-term use of glucocorticoids. In the recent 4 years,her body height was lower compared with the mean height of her counterparts. This case hinted that whether modified or alternative therapeutic strategies should be delivered for NS children who require long-term use of glucocorticoids remains to be investigated.
