自然诗歌中的元功能和语法隐喻分析——以狄金森的一首自然诗歌为例

Analyses of metafunctions and grammatical metaphors in nature-oriented poems: A case study of Emily Dickinson's “Nature” is what we see

美国诗人艾米莉·狄金森创作的诗歌《"自然",是我们所见》在文学研究界已经从不同的视角进行了讨论,但从语言学角度对其考察的研究还不多见。本文在系统功能语言学框架中对其进行生态语言分析,主要从元功能和语法隐喻两个方面进行探讨,目的是揭示该诗歌的语言形式是怎样体现其意义的。本文的分析表明两点:一是作者的语言选择是为意义的表达服务的,二是语言学分析会给文学作品研究带来启示。

In the literature to date,there have been a number of literary studies of Emily Dickinson＇s poem entitled ＂‘Nature＇is what we see＂,from different perspectives,with few studies from linguistic perspectives. Working within the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics,this paper conducts an ecolinguistic analysis of the poem,by focusing on analyses of Metafunctions and Grammatical Metaphors,with the aim of uncovering how the meaning of the poem is realized through linguistic forms. The study shows that the poet＇s choice of language serves the meaning of the poem appropriately and that linguistic analyses of the poem can give implications for literary studies.
