摘要
本研究基于"儒学英文原创文本历时数据库(1690s-2010s)",采用文本数据挖掘方法,考察儒学在西方传播的话语构成特征,以及儒学在西方英语文化中定位、叙述和传播的主要方式。研究发现,在主动传播状态下,接受端思想和概念会参与儒学叙事且呈现历时变化,文化隐喻是西方儒学传播的主要话语模式。这种传播样态成因复杂,涉及接受端对自身文化地位的认知和对他者文化的态度。研究认为,对接受端讲述儒学和中国文化进行文本分析有助于我们从不同视角审视自己,以便知己知彼,制定科学有效的文化海外传播对策。
The study,based on the Diachronic Database of Original English Texts on Confucianism( DDETC,1690 s-2010 s),observes the discursive features typical of the dissemination of Confucianism outside China. By employing text data mining( TDM) tools such as style and sentiment analysis,the features of Confucianism dissemination in English culture are described. It finds that cultural metaphor is the major discourse mode running through dissemination of Confucianism,which is shown in the frequent use of receptor-culture-specific expressions in evaluating and appraising Confucius and Confucianism.The study also finds that the TDM account of the narration of Confucianism in the receptor culture can ensure a better understanding of cultural communication,which might contribute much to making and carrying out effective going-global policies for Chinese culture.
