摘要
2016年布克奖获奖小说《叛徒》巧妙运用反讽手法,揭示当代美国社会依旧严峻的种族问题。反讽构织成了小说情节之外的另一个结构网络：修辞反讽渗透进小说的语言,构成了小说的肌理;标题的反讽、情景的反讽、语调的反讽建构了小说完整的结构框架;互文反讽则引入历史的维度作为参照,增强了小说的批判性。在《叛徒》中,反讽不仅是修辞手段,也是哲学思想和生活态度,它暗含严肃的批判精神和对未来世界的美好愿景,已成为小说本身的内在品质。
As the Booker Prize winner in 2016,The Sellout is credited to its masterful use of irony,which is exhibited differently in the novel. Irony firstly functions as a rhetorical device and a structural strategy to reveal the racial problems in modern America; then its reference to intertextuality strengthens its tension and its power of criticism; lastly irony becomes an attitude of life. It implies the author＇s ambivalent attitudes towards the reality and his best wishes for a better future of the world.
