This paper summarizes the characteristics of China＇s economic development in 2017 and the development trends of the real estate, furniture and automotive industries, which are downstream segments of the coatings industry, briefly analyzes the economic operation of China＇s coatings industry in 2017 including the output, output value, main business income, main economic indices, imports and exports and development of inorganic pigments on the basis of data from the National Bureau of Statistics, sums up the main operational characteristics of China＇s coatings industry in 2017 and envisions the prospects of China＇s coatings industry in 2018.
