Collostructional Analysis: A State of the Art Review

作为一种客观测定语言结构间吸引/排斥程度的方法,搭配构式分析自提出以来,获得了广泛应用。本文挖掘该方法的理论/方法论基础,梳理三种共现词分析及其使用范畴,阐述搭配构式分析的新发展:在研究范畴上,该方法开始向二语习得、历时语言学、篇章分析、对比语言学等层面拓展;在研究方法上,其开始转向基于义项;在统计算法上,它体现出更大的开放性。同时,本文阐述了搭配构式分析的分歧与适用性,澄清了相关研究对该方法的误读,对该方法的应用现状与发展前景做出总结与展望。

As a family of statistical methods calculating the attraction/repulsion between language structures, collostructional analysis（CA thereafter） has gained ever-increasing momentum. This paper addresses its theoretical/methodological foundations and teases out three collexeme analyses.More importantly, CA has been prospering with regard to its application and methodology. Much light has been shed on its application in SLA, diachronic linguistics, discourse analysis and contrastive linguistics. Methodologically, sense-based CA plays a more important role. Statistically, CA entails a greater variability of algorithms. Meanwhile, the disputes and applicability of CA have been touched upon with some misconceptions clarified. This review concludes with a state of the art summary of CA with predictions of its future development.
