Multiple·Blend· Authenticity·Transcend——An Interpretation of Derek Bock's 8 Undergraduate Education Objectives

著名教育家德雷克·博克认为本科教育有八大目标,即表达能力、批判思维能力、道德推理能力、公民意识、适应多元文化的素养、广泛的兴趣以及为就业做准备。八大教育目标具有多元、交融、本真以及超越的特点。基于此,本文提出我国高校的教育目标应该以人才培养为本,兼顾长远未来与现实生活。

Famous educator Derek Bock thinks,there are 8 major goal of undergraduate education,namely presentation skills,critical thinking ability,moral reasoning,citizen consciousness,to adapt to the multicultural literacy,broad interests,and to prepare for the job. These goals have the characteristics of diversity,integration,authenticity and transcendence. Based on this,this paper puts forward that the education goal of Chinese universities should be based on talent cultivation,taking into account the long-term future and real life.
