雌性生殖干细胞的研究进展

摘要 人类对于生殖干细胞的研究最初是关于精原干细胞的研究,雄性哺乳动物由于精原干细胞的自我更新和分化,得以不断产生精子。传统观点认为,卵巢的始基卵泡池是卵泡的唯一储备库,哺乳动物出生后始基卵泡池一旦形成,其卵泡数目不再增加。随着卵泡的发育、成熟和闭锁,卵泡不断耗竭,卵巢功能逐渐衰退,女性渐渐进入绝经期。然而,雌性生殖干细胞的出现挑战了传统观点,它由原始生殖细胞转化而来,具有能够定向分化为卵母细胞的能力,可望补充不断消耗的始基卵泡池,是生殖生物学的革命性发现。
