On Gilbert Simondon's Techno-Aesthetics

摘要 法国技术哲学家西蒙栋所提出的技术美学围绕"技术物件何以是美的"这一问题展开,揭示技术物件如何被常人感知、认同,从而为文化所接纳。他以"技术显像"串接起的诸个概念为讨论技术与文化的互动提供了框架,有效地切入了技术的大众接受的结构特点。"技术美学"承接了法国技术人类学传统,来源于对现实技术状况的直接考察,把握到了现代技术的区分性特征,而缺乏对技术生产过程尤其是经济因素的考量是其不足。 Based on the question concerning how and why a technical object could be beautiful,Gilbert Simondon's‘techno-aesthetics' reveals how technical objects are perceived,identified,and accepted by ordinary people and their culture. The concept of‘technophanie'plays a central role in his conceptual framework for analyzing interactions between technology and culture,which provides useful insights into the structural characteristics of popular acceptance of technology. Deriving from direct observation on the actuality,‘Techno-aesthetics' continues the French tradition of anthropology of technology and meanwhile attends to distinctions of modern technology. A major defect of the theory lies in the lack of examining how economic factors influence technological production.
