This paper introduces the origin and development of self-repairing concrete, expounds the self-repairing mechanism of concrete, and summarizes the present research status of self-repairing concrete on the basis of the selection of repairing materials for self-repairing concrete. At last, the author＇s opinion on self-repairing concrete is put forward.
