叶广芩小说中的家族叙事描写了大家族的命运沉浮,批判了人性的卑劣,抒发了对荒诞人生的感慨。在大家族中,市井无疑是其中的异质。叶广芩家族叙事中的市井书写主要从三个场域展开:一是《状元媒》和《采桑子》中金家的大宅门;二是《全家福》中的四合院;三是金家老五被赶出去后所住的九条胡同。在这三个场域中,叶广芩向我们展示了市井活泼粗鄙的生命力、市井对个人利益的重视、市井以"人情"为纽带的运作模式以及市井"江湖"的乌托邦色彩。

Ye Guangqin＇s family novels describe stories of big families,criticize human＇s despicability and express her feeling of fate.In the big traditional family,the townspeople are looked down upon by the nobles.As to the townspeople,their stories are told in three places：the traditional grand mansion in Top Media and Picking Mulberry,the courtyard house in Family Portrait and the Jiutiao Hutong where the fifth son of Jin lives after driven out of home.Throughout the stories,Ye Guangqin describes the features of the marketplace life including vulgarity and vitality,attention to personal gains and losses,emphasis of interpersonal relationship and the utopian characteristics of＂Jianghu＂.
