中国要对人类作出更大的贡献,要真正自立于世界民族之林,没有文化上自立,那肯定是不行的。有没有自己的文化,这文化又能不能走出去且让别人感兴趣并接纳,这不仅关乎到中国、中华民族的形象,也决定了中国、中华民族在文化的层面和精神的层面对世界能有怎样的影响力。中国文化的重建也已经到了一个机不可失、时不我待的关键节点。要重新收拾人心、阻止一个时代和社会迅速滑向沉沦,文化的重建也就显得特别的必要和迫切、契合天道、平衡人欲——这才是人类、人生应该追求的目标,应该遵循的方向,也是中国文化重建应有的目标和努力的方向。

To be a world power, China needs cultural independence. The top priority is to find from the traditional Chinese culture elements compatible with modernity and universal value, which will integrate with the progressive parts of western culture. Thus a cultural and social consensus can be formed to guide people's spiritual life, to preserve our cultural heritage and to maintain our stability, solidarity and unity, and to culturally establish China as a country both belonging to and independent of the world.
