纳木错的苯教岩画:藏北原始宗教掠影

Bon Rock Paintings at Gnam-Mtsho: Glimpses of the Ancient Religion of Northern Tibet

迄今为止,在西藏地区发现的岩画大多位于拥有青藏高原第二大湖美誉的纳木错。本文研究了一系列与西藏原始苯教相关的主要岩画,纳木错的苯教岩画属于苯教早期(金器时代至10世纪)以及受佛教影响后的时期。这项古老艺术由两部分组成,即铭文和具象图案,是解读有关西藏历史文本来源的重要依据。

Thus far the largest concentration of rock paintings discovered in Tibet is located at gNam mtsho, the second largest lake on the plateau.This paper examines a selection of these paintings which are linked to Bon, the old religion of Tibet. Bon rock paintings at gNam mtsho belong to both the early Bon period（Metal Age to 10 th century） and the subsequent period when the Bon religion came under heavy Buddhist influence. This palaeoart tradition comprised of both inscriptions and representational forms has the potential capability to serve as independent verification of textual sources of information on Tibetan history.
