Reappearance of Double-Walled City and Institutional Building of Emperor Taizu of Ming Dynasty The Princely Palace and the Local City in Early Ming Dynasty

以中国古代城市中的"二重城"制度为切入点,关注明代初年地方城市中王国都城的二重结构;通过对其空间建构方式的分析,认为明代"二重城"的空间建构,与《周礼》文本有着明显的对应关系,是明洪武朝的礼制革新中对古代礼制经典文本的解读与阐释的结果。

This paper studies the classic ritual of double-walled city with a focus on its reappearance in the capital cities of princedoms in early Ming dynasty. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of spatial structure, it contends that the double-walled structure of the time corresponded to the account in the text of Zhouli, as a result of reinterpretation of classical ritual literature during the ritual reformation under the rein of Hongwu.
