The English translation for road and street names in Anshun city

安顺市城区现有路牌上的英文标识与国家有关法规、标准不符,且存在较多错误,这给国外游客带来诸多不便。文章在研究北京市和广东省的道路名称英文标识基础之上,结合安顺市的实际情况,提出一套解决方案,即所有路名标注拼音并且加注英文翻译并对部分翻译错误给予纠正,希望以此规范安顺城区路牌的英文翻译,提高安顺的城市形象。

English translations for road and street names on present road signs in downtown area of Anshun City tend not to be confirmed to relevant state regulations and standards because some errors in English translations are expected to be correct in a standardized way and make foreign tourists or people easily understand the ways in Anshun City.Corrections to some translation mistakes or errors of those road sign names are supposed to be given by both Pinyin and English translation,in accordance with the studies of road sign examples in Beijing City and Guangdong Province and the reality of Anshun City.The English translations of road sign names in Anshun City are expected to be standardized and make impression of Anshun city improved.
