Folklore is one of the most favored writing themes for young writer Xiao Jianghong. He either regarded his homeland folk customs as the main body of narration with kindness,compassion and delicate and exquisite conception or he first finely polished and carved out the unique texture of folklore,and then put it into a specific social life event.Through the description of folklore,Xiao Jianghong made his narrative close to the true mirror of individual life,social life and the spiritual world. Through resolution and persistence of the ritual,he gave full play to the alienation and collapse of folklore in urban and rural confrontation and cultural anxiety. By this way,he made the text of his novels a summoning essence which has the characteristics of pathos and reflectiveness. In the face of the difficulties of modern civilization,through recovery and reenchantment,Xiao Jianghong made folklore return to life and shaped a series of tough rural figures in his dense writing. At the same time,with the help of the narrative of folklore and narrative of death,he opened up a way of redemption that contained the return of behavior and the return to the hometown of spirit. And finally,he realized the reconstruction and breakthrough of folk narrative.
