Maritime Cooperation between India and the United States:Process and Restrictions

莫迪政府上台以来,印美海洋合作得到更深入发展。尽管维护航线安全等助推印美海洋合作持久发展,但两国海上合作发展也面临着战略定位及战略目标的认知错位、军工管理体制偏差等限制性因素。这为中国擎划印度洋政策预留更多的发展空间。在当前情势下,权力竞争不符合中国国际战略,以发展为宏旨的利益融合和以解决地区事务为基础的机制协调更符合中国国家利益。

After the Cold War, India and the United States attempted to engage with each other on maritime issue.The Indo-US cooperation enhanced after Narendra Modi oathed into office. The joint maritime maneuvers upgraded while the maritime trade increased. However, further development of maritime cooperation might suffer from restrictive factors such as the differenceon military industry and regulation systems associated with it.
