《舂歌》文辞朴实,情感哀怨复杂,是汉初楚乐歌的代表作品之一。它唱出了戚夫人母子分离、自身境遇艰危的悲苦情怀以及对施暴者高祖皇后吕雉怒而不能言的愤怨之情,千百年来博取了后世人的无限同情。一曲《舂歌》敷衍一段冷血的历史,对于宫廷女人而言,宫斗即为床斗,床斗即为权斗,争斗的最终结果是均走向毁灭,历史的冷酷即在于此。

＂Chongge＂ was a typical piece of musical songs from the ＂Chu Land＂（which refers to the watershed of the middle-lower Yangtze River）in the earlier years of Han Dynasty.The words of the song are simple yet its feeling is complex and sorrowful.The song expresses the situation of the separation between Mrs Qi and her son,her condition in danger and her anger and hate toward the aggressor Lv Zhi,the Empress of the first Emperor in Han Dynasty,which has held limtless sympathy from the later generations.Behind the ＂Chongge＂ is a period of the cold bloody history.For the women in palace,the struggle in palace is in fact the struggle bettween the wives of an Emperor,and the later is in fact for the power,the end of which is that both sides go to ruin.So is the coldness of history.
