董事会能力会影响公司双元创新战略选择吗——基于环境动态性的调节效应

Does Board Competence Affect the Strategic Choice of Enterprises’ Bidimensional Innovation——Based on the Moderating Effect of Environmental Dynamism

以436家上市公司所填问卷为样本,研究董事会能力与双元创新战略之间的关系以及环境动态性对两者关系的调节作用。研究发现：董事会的专业能力和协同能力越强,公司越倾向于制定综合型双元创新战略;环境动态性仅对董事会能力与综合型双元之间的关系有促进作用,对董事会能力和平衡型双元之间的关系没有显著影响。在高探索-高开发的样本公司中,董事会能力对综合型双元创新战略产生正向影响,对平衡型双元创新战略产生负向影响。

Using the samples of 436 A-share listed companies, this paper empirically investigates the impact of board compe- tence on companies＇ strategic choice of bidimensional innovation, also the moderating effect of environmental dynamism in this rela- tionship. The study finds that, a higher level of professional competence and collaborative capacity would lead to a selection preference of combined bidimensional innovation. Meanwhile, the environmental dynamism can only promote the relationship between board com- petence and combined bidimensional innovation, but not balanced bidimensional innovation. We further find that, board competence is positively related to combined hidimensional innovation in companies with more exploration and deeper exploitation, but negatively re- lated to balanced hidimensional innovation.
