Lateral hydraulic sediment discharge basin is a structure integrating desilting and discharging. It is located in the head of water diversion project pipe network of directly diverting water from the river,which can effectively convert suspended load into bed load and block it. It also can be used for hydraulic sand sluicing and discharging. The structure is applied for improving the automation degree of engineering management; management and operation are convenient and reliable,thereby greatly reducing the operation cost and direct investment of the project.
