1927年，蒋介石发动反革命政变，大肆逮捕和屠杀共产党人与爱国人士。陈云在青浦地区领导的农民运动也遭到严重挫折。为保存革命力量，党组织决定让陈云和另外两名地下党员暂时离开那里。他们3个人一上路，就发现两个鬼鬼祟祟的家伙跟在后面。陈云断定他俩是敌人的密探，于是思量着甩掉的办法。走着走着，陈云发现前面有一个饭店，马上有了主意。
In 1927, Chiang Kai-shek, head of the Kuomintang government, staged a counter-revolutionary coup, arresting and slaughtering many members of the Communist Party of China （CPC） and other patriots. Chen Yun met with a serious setback in leading the peasant movement in Qingpu. To conserve revolutionary strength, the Party determined that Chen and two other underground Party members should leave Qingpu temporarily. Soon after starting off, the three found two guys stalking behind them sneakily. Chen was certain that the two guys were secret agents of the enemy.
