The Political Criticism and the Critical Politics: On Katkov and Turgenev

在屠格涅夫研究史上,卡特科夫的名字并不多见。但从《父与子》的发表前后的论争情况来看,卡特科夫的两篇批评文章意义不可低估。本文立足这两篇文章,结合批评家的其它文章,介绍了卡特科夫对屠格涅夫作品的剖析,展示了19世纪60年代之后俄国文学界与思想界的形势变换,概括了卡特科夫文学批评的政治化特征,也由两人关系之变化揭露了俄国自由主义知识分子逐步分化的过程。

M.N.Katkov is rarely mentioned in the history of Turgenev＇s research. But according to the controversy about Fathers and Sons ,the two articles by Katkov shouldn＇t be underestimated. Based on these articles, this paper introduces the changes of the situation in the Russian literature of the 1860s, analyses the process from friends to enemies between Katkov and Turgenev. It reveals the characteristic of Katkov＇s literary criticism, and also shows the differentiation of Russian liberal intelligentsia.
