This paper introduces professor LIU Jingxia＇ s experience in treating vascular dementia with the method of invigorating kidney and activating blood, invigorating spleen and resolving phlegm. It is considered thatkidney deficiency and blood stasis, spleen deficiency and phlegm obstruction are the main pathogenesis of vascular dementia, it is emphasized that the treatment of the disease should start with invigorating kidney and promoting blood, invigorating spleen and resolving phlegm. This method can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with vascular dementia and prevent further development of the disease. Two typical cases are presented for inspecting and verifying.
