敦煌是丝绸之路上东西方文明的汇集点,莫高窟内丰富的诗词、音乐、舞蹈、绘画、石雕是宝贵的古代文艺资源。任中敏"唐代音乐文艺发微"专著中的《敦煌曲初探》《敦煌曲校订》《敦煌歌辞总编》是文学与艺术相结合的研究敦煌音乐的跨学科的典范之作。文本史料与敦煌变文、佛教曲、歌辞、舞谱,石窟壁画中的乐人、乐器、乐舞、乐队的融合贯通,使特色显著的西域乐舞与文艺现象相映成辉。

Dunhuang is a intersection of Eastern and Western civilizations on the Silk Road. The abundant poetry, music, dance, painting, and stone carvings in the Mogao Grottoes area are valuable ancient artistic resources. ＂A Preliminary Study of Dunhuang Melody＂, ＂Dunhuang Musical Revision＂, and ＂Danhuang Song Compilation Editor＂ in ＂Tang Dynasty Literature and Art Development＂ of Ren Zhongmin, are the models for the interdisciplinary study of Dunhuang music combined with literature and art. The combination of historical materials and Dunhuang variants, Buddhist songs, lyrics, and dance spectrum, and the integration of musicians, musical instruments, music and dance, and band in the murals of the grottoes make the characteristics of Western music, dance, and literary phenomena integrated more harmonious.
